School gardens
Grow curiosity. Harvest connection.
School Garden Program: availability, responsibilities, and the current agreement are reviewed with each participating school before work begins.
Food education that starts in the soil
Our garden program is designed to help school communities connect growing, harvesting, and tasting with the meals students see at school. Each partnership is shaped around the school’s space, calendar, staff participation, and current program capacity.
How a garden partnership begins
1. Start with a conversation
Tell us about your school, available space, grade levels, and goals.
2. Review the site
We discuss access, water, seasonal timing, responsibilities, and whether the location is a fit.
3. Agree on roles
The school and My Kid’s Lunch review the current Garden Club Agreement before participation.
4. Plan the season
Participating teams coordinate planting, care, learning opportunities, harvest, and closeout.
What schools should know
- Program availability is limited and confirmed directly with our team.
- School staff participation, site access, water, and seasonal care expectations are defined before launch.
- Growing practices and any use of terms such as “organic” are governed by the current written agreement and actual operating practices.
- The published agreement page is a summary; the version signed by the parties controls.
